Event Details
Date: 17/07/2022 (Sunday)
Time: 1000 ~1300 (GMT+8)
Team Competition Rules
- Each club is allowed up to 2 teams of 3 practitioners/shooters. It is not mandatory to send out 2 teams (1 team is enough).
- Every participant will shoot 2 arrows in zassha in the first round and then proceed to shoot 4 arrows in rissha in the second round, a total of 6 arrows.
- The maximum time allowed for each team (6 shots) is 15 minutes. When a team is about to finish, the next team should be positioned at honza (ready line).
- As this is a friendly competition, there will be no elimination rounds. The team with the highest number of hits is considered the winner.
- Only teams with the same number of hits will continue to shoot 1 round (2 arrows each participant) until a winner is determined.
Individual Competition Rules
- Individual competition consists of a qualifying round and category shooting round. Qualifying round would group individuals into different categories based on the number of hits. Then subsequently, each category group would shoot to determine the winner.
- Each club is given 90 mins to complete both rounds. As there is limited time, it is advised that each country should only bring in participants 3 times the number of mato/lanes in their dojo.
- The final allowed number of participants will be determined roughly 2 weeks before the event.
- For individual competition, every participant will shoot 4 arrows in rissha format. When shooting, it must be done in pairs of 2 arrows.
- After 4 shots, the participants are group into separate categories: A (3-4 hits), B (1-2 hits), C (0 hits)
- Each group category (A,B,C, & D) will then proceed to shoot. Each participant is only allowed 1 shot.
- Each participating country will provide a closeup photo of the mato at the end of each category group’s shooting. The nearest hit closest to mato will win for the category.
