11 December 2023 will forever mark the beginning of a new chapter for KAS.

On this day, the International Kyudo Federation accepted our application for Singapore to become a member nation. We wish to convey our utmost gratitude to 香港弓道協會 Hong Kong Kyudo Association and 臺灣弓道協會 Taiwan Kyudo Association for endorsing us in their recommendation letters and providing support in our years of exchanges.

KAS began as a small interest group just 9 years ago. Becoming a member nation would not have come to pass without the help and support of fellow Southeast Asia Kyudo organizations and visionaries including Tomotsugu Goka, Kenji Suzuki, Howard Houng sensei(s), members of Hamacho Dojo and many more.

A special thanks to Tomidokoro Osamu sensei for being a huge part of our association, for his meticulous guidance as our association's Technical Advisor and as a dear friend to all members.

Salt & Light Archery also played an indispensable role in providing training location which helped in the survival and rapid growth of the association. A shout-out to Tan Si Lie and his team for accepting us as one of the S&L communities.

To the other new member nations of IKYF, Australian Kyudo Association, Brasil Kyudo Kai, and Hungarian Kyudo Federation, we extend our heartiest congratulations and well wishes.
